Line dancing at the hall

With the Vale & White Horse Line Dancers. No partner, no experience needed.

Classes start in September 2026, once the hall's brand-new floor is down. A dance floor's first dance, no less.

The class

Friendly, fun, and no partner required

The Vale & White Horse Line Dancers run friendly line dance classes across Oxfordshire, and from September they're at the hall every Wednesday evening. Classes suit everyone from absolute beginners to improvers: dancers line up and learn set routines together, so there's no partner needed and no experience required.

Expect a mix of music well beyond country - modern pop, classic hits and upbeat chart tracks alongside the traditional favourites. Each session starts with warm-up dances, new dances arrive every other week, and familiar routines get revisited in creative ways, so no two classes are the same.

It's a gentle but real workout: good for coordination, balance and stamina, kind to the joints, and social by nature.

Classes are taught by Carina, a qualified ELDA line dance instructor who passed both her Level 1 and Level 2 exams with Distinction. One of her own choreographies has been invited to the World Dance Showdown choreography competition in the USA in 2026.

“My teaching style? Fun, friendly, and full of energy! I’m all about creating a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable to give it a go. I love those high-energy routines that get your heart pumping, but I also believe in slowing down and really feeling the music. Whether you’re brand new to line dancing or finding your groove again, I want you to enjoy the process and discover your own rhythm.” Carina · Vale & White Horse Line Dancers
