Accessibility

We want the hall to be welcoming and usable for everyone in our community.

Access information

Getting in and getting around

Here's what visitors with mobility or accessibility needs can expect at the hall.

Step-free access

The main entrance has a shallow structural ramp giving step-free access into the building.

Wide entrance

Entry is through wide wooden double doors, giving generous clearance for wheelchairs, walking aids and prams.

Flat car park

A large, flat gravel car park sits directly outside the main entrance, so you can drop off right by the ramp. There are no marked disabled bays, so visitors with mobility needs are welcome to park as close to the ramp as they need.

Level interior

The main hall and facilities are all on one level, with wide corridors and clear turning space for wheelchairs and walking aids. The galleried area and the raised stage are the exceptions, both reached by stairs.

Accessible toilet

There's an accessible toilet on site, added as part of the hall's Millennium improvements.

Induction loop

The main hall has an induction loop system for hearing aid users.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are always welcome throughout the hall.

Baby changing

Baby changing facilities are available on site.
